An awesome Sci Fi Classic

Man against Mars! Can one man survive on the Red Planet?

Robinson Crusoe on Mars is a science fiction film that the whole family can enjoy. The movie features great dated special effects, very little real science, and a whole lot of adventure.

Robinson Crusoe Paramount Pictures 1964

Directed by Byron Haskin,

Produced by Aubry Shenk

Starring Paul Mantee Christopher 'Kit' Draper, Victor Lunden as Friday, Adam West Dan Mcready, and Mona the monkey (This is more of a cameo role than a starring role for west).

Science Fiction retelling of the classic novel by Daniel Defoe.

The Plot

The film opens with Draper, Mcready, and the Monkey orbiting the planet Mars performing some kind of survey mission. An meteor appears from out of nowhere, and after a near miss the astronaughts abandon the spacecraft and crash into the planet. Mcready is killed in the crash leaving Draper and Mona the monkey to survive on their own.

I won't give away the rest of the story, but there are alien ships a run away slave and other Sci Fi staples. Watch it on youtube or buy it on Amazon. Robinson Crusoe on Mars is a campy fun Science fiction movie. Four and half stars!
